Hi all! I'm doing more credit card research, I was asked by a friend to help her choose the best low interest credit card. Here is a page on low interest credit cards that is very informative and lists a number of good cards for you to check.

I was reading some articles about meat being put into our food and how long it's allowed to be frozen. I've found out that in many countries you can get meat that is 5 or 10 years old in your ham or similar products! I couldn't believe it, but it's true.

So, be sure to check out what you're eating! I know I am checking that more and more and I think everyone should.

The summer is nearing its end :( Oh well, plenty of indoor activities that are nice, aren't there? ;-)

Britney Spears new songs

Just wanted to say this - people say everything about Britney and her problems, but you have to admit that her new songs are really, really great pop. Her videos are also very good and she seems more focused and calm. She must've been under great pressure in her life, so I wish her all the luck and I hope that all the people who love pop will also enjoy her new songs and videos.

Global warming

I'm seeing all these storms, hurricanes and whatever every day and I just can't help myself from concluding that people have really messed up this planet. The storms are getting more frequent and more intense and yet some people still deny that it could be our fault. I don't understand why is this so and I'm hoping it will change. Ninteno Wii has done exceptionally well, but now PS3 and Xbox 360 are starting to catch up as developers embrace the possibilities these two offer. PS3 is known for its quite hard programming (using a 7-core processing unit). I'm certainly a fan of PS3 and I look forward to it gaining even more ground.

PS2 is still outselling PS3 in many places! This is very interesting. Does it mean that PS3 graphics etc. are not that much better than PS2 for people to pay that extra cash? It might. I know I still enjoy playing on my PS2 and I'm not that blown away by PS3 graphics.

Hi all, I look forward to publishing new posts after a short break I've took.

The Top 10 reasons not to go to college post I've written not that long ago and the article it links to have caused some debate on various sites. Looks like many people disagree with it and many find it very interesting. That article wasn't about telling people not to go to college, but, instead, it was about all the cool things that come with not going to college. College is still a preferred way of advancing in today's world, but hey, there's some positive things about self education, self improvement etc. ;-)

I was wondering where to buy the cheapest PS2 Memory Cards online and here's page on what I found out after some research.

Anyway, some basic info. Almost everyone needs a 8MB one, it's enough for almost everyone. However, there are also 16MB, 32MB and 64MB versions! Didn't know about that 64MB one. For gaming maniacs, this is it. Others, buy 8MB one, mine is serving me well for years and years :)

Account reported to the credit bureau - which is great
Pretty high annual fee, but that's understandable

Wireless energy - what's special

First, what was discovered:

Marin Soljacic, a Croatian physicist working at MIT (with his team) discovered how to transfer energy wirelessly at room lenghts (two meters or about six feet for now).

Second, why is everyone confused:

Before this energy was already transferred wirelessly

Examples include radio waves, Sun transferred energy wirelessly to Earth using electromagnetic waves, energy is wireleslly transferred in transformers between coils etc.

So, what's special is:

Until now, only tiny, tiny amounts could be transferred (you still have to plug in your TV, in spite of radio waves)
Two meters or six feet is a distance at which it all starts to make sense and before there was a huge loss at those distances (it makes sense because you can cover your mobile phone, fan, TV, whatever inside that distance)
Efficiency is 40% which is huge (i.e. 60% of radiated energy is lost) because before this, only tiny, tiny amounts of energy were left preserved and everything else was lost
This 40% has a great potential to become much higher

There you have it, a great invention! ;) Still room for development though, so don't throw away the wires yet!

How Croatian football team shirt gets to poor (?) Vietnamese child?

The painting on the left is from an article about Hanoi's Art Scene. Now, that child, I believe, has a Croatian national football team shirt! So this got me wondering and thinking. Many people in Europe don't have to worry about clothes, food etc. and I think that many in Vietnam are leaving pretty poorly, please accept my excuses if I'm wrong, I did some checking on the net now and I think I'm right. Then you browse the web and see a European football kit on some kid on the other end of the world, probably it came there through the humanitarian ways or something. On the right side is a picture of the real Croatian national football team shirt found on Made in Croatia site which sells them.
