Ok, here's another card like MasterCard Tribute. You are highly unlikely to get turned down, it's easy to get, you can have a poor credit rating and even the fees aren't too high! It's Orchard Bank MasterCard and it's issued by HSBC, so you can have peace of mind (it's a very respectable banking name). Depending on your credit rating you will be approved for Orchard Bank Secured MasterCard, Orchard Bank Gold MasterCard, Orchard Bank Platinum MasterCard or Orchard Bank Prime MasterCard. Cards have online application. If you've missed it, here's the page on Orchard Bank MasterCard.

Buying the cheapest PS2 Memory Cards online
I was wondering where to buy the cheapest PS2 Memory Cards online and here's page on what I found out after some research.
Anyway, some basic info. Almost everyone needs a 8MB one, it's enough for almost everyone. However, there are also 16MB, 32MB and 64MB versions! Didn't know about that 64MB one. For gaming maniacs, this is it. Others, buy 8MB one, mine is serving me well for years and years :)
Ok, the page about where to buy the cheapest PS2 Memory Cards online is here. Have fun ;-)

The most beautiful freedom poem
Dubrovnik, Croatia preserved it's freedom for centuries through wise policy and trade. They admired and cherished their freedom so much. Ivan Gundulic, a Croatian baroque poet wrote these verses in his famous pastoral 'Dubravka':
- O beautiful, o beloved, o sweet freedom,
- God has given us all the treasures in you,
- you are the true source of all our glory,
- you are the only decoration of this Dubrava.
- All silver, all gold, all human lives
- cannot repay your pure beauty!
Dubrovnik - the new mediterranean favourite, for a reason!
It is dated back to 7th century. It is so well preserved that chills run down your spine and at the same time you can connect to a wireless network while admiring the oldest pharmacy dating back to 13th century. The one and only city of this kind is Dubrovnik. Here is a page on Dubrovnik, enjoy it! I love visiting Dubrovnik, it's an unforgettable experience. Oh, you can also enjoy probably the most beautiful beaches on the mediterranean and chill out in the sea. Amazing!

Why Second Life is the future
WOW, Guild Wars... all too pre-defined if you ask me (but I still love to play them). Second Life... well, maybe a bit boring, in some particular ways... but, and this is a big but, Second Life is true interactivity and I think this is the future. Even the future of things like WOW and Guild Wars. True interactivity a la Second Life. Read the article on Second Life, WOW, GW and interactivity here.

Wireless energy - what's special
First, what was discovered:
Marin Soljacic, a Croatian physicist working at MIT (with his team) discovered how to transfer energy wirelessly at room lenghts (two meters or about six feet for now).
Second, why is everyone confused:
Marin Soljacic, a Croatian physicist working at MIT (with his team) discovered how to transfer energy wirelessly at room lenghts (two meters or about six feet for now).
Second, why is everyone confused:
- Before this energy was already transferred wirelessly
- Examples include radio waves, Sun transferred energy wirelessly to Earth using electromagnetic waves, energy is wireleslly transferred in transformers between coils etc.
- Until now, only tiny, tiny amounts could be transferred (you still have to plug in your TV, in spite of radio waves)
- Two meters or six feet is a distance at which it all starts to make sense and before there was a huge loss at those distances (it makes sense because you can cover your mobile phone, fan, TV, whatever inside that distance)
- Efficiency is 40% which is huge (i.e. 60% of radiated energy is lost) because before this, only tiny, tiny amounts of energy were left preserved and everything else was lost
- This 40% has a great potential to become much higher

Antidepressant companies rejoice
This site has an article on organizing your personal information in case of emergency. I mean... what? More or less organization is OK, of course, but that craziness in organizing every detail and thinking about everything... well that's the road to making drug companies very, very rich. You can't organize the organizing!

How Croatian football team shirt gets to poor (?) Vietnamese child?

The painting on the left is from an article about Hanoi's Art Scene. Now, that child, I believe, has a Croatian national football team shirt! So this got me wondering and thinking. Many people in Europe don't have to worry about clothes, food etc. and I think that many in Vietnam are leaving pretty poorly, please accept my excuses if I'm wrong, I did some checking on the net now and I think I'm right. Then you browse the web and see a European football kit on some kid on the other end of the world, probably it came there through the humanitarian ways or something. On the right side is a picture of the real Croatian national football team shirt found on Made in Croatia site which sells them.
